Professor Gus Nathan, working in ASTRI, is the South Australian Energy Professional of the Year

This year the Australian Institute of Energy recognized the contributions of Gus Nathan to energy research by awarding him the South Australian Energy Professional of the Year.  He is currently playing a key role in ASTRI being the leader of Node 4, which focuses on adding value to concentrating solar thermal systems.  He also has a variety of other projects on the go as the founding director of The University of Adelaide’s Centre for Energy Technology.  There is not enough space here do credit to his broad research interests, but they include hybridising solar thermal and combustion technologies and solar thermal chemistry and industrial processes.  His extensive experience is currently adding value to ASTRI through the range of concepts being investigated in the ASTRI Solar Fuels project.
